How To Make The Perfect Chai Latte (With Chai Latte Powder)

The perfect cup of chai tea is only a few minutes away no matter where you are. See which method suits your lifestyle and join me on this incredible journey over a cup of delicious chai – your way.

You will need a yummy chai latte powder, water and milk (if you wish) and it will take you less than 10 minutes!

How To Brew The Perfect Cup of Chai
Yummy Indian Masala Chai Tea.

At Home (with milk)

1. Prepare your pot.
– Add 1 heaped tablespoon of chai latte powder per person to a pot.
– Add 3/4 mug of water per person to a pot (Approx. 200ml).

2. Boil it up!
– Boil on high for 5 minutes. Give that delicious elixir a few stirs now and then.

2. Add milk.
Add 1/2 a mug of your choice of milk per person (Approx. 125ml).

3. Boil it some more.
Bring to boil for 1 minute on a medium simmer.

4. Remove it from heat.
Let this amazingness sit for a minute after the heat is turned off.

5. Drink it up!
Strain and enjoy.

Hot Tip! Use with a creamy milk such as Bonsoy or Alternative Dairy Co Oat Milk.

At Home (without milk)

1. Prepare your pot.
– Add 1 heaped tablespoon of chai latte powder per person to a pot.
– Add 1 mug of water per person to a pot (Approx. 250ml).

2. Boil it up!
– Medium simmer for up to 1 minutes. Give that delicious elixir a few stirs now and then.

3. Remove it from heat.
– Let it sit for about a minute after the burner is turned off.

4. Enjoy!
– Strain and let that cup of Chai take you places.

Chai Latte At Work (with milk)

  1. Prepare your teapot or infuser.
    – Add 1 heaped tablespoon (15gms) of chai latte powder per person to teapot/infuser.
    – Add 1/2 mug (Approx. 125ml) of hot/boiling water per person to the teapot/infuser.
  2. Steep.
    – Let this sit for 2 to 3 minutes at least. The longer the better.
    – Stir occasionally.
  3. Add milk.
    – Add choice of milk (Approx. 125ml) heated or cold to the teapot/infuser.
    – Let this mixture sit for about 1 to 2 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  4. Strain and enjoy!

    Notes: Best milk to use is full cream. For vegan options use Bonsoy or Almond milk (Milk lab)

Chai Latte At Work (without milk)

  1. Prepare your teapot or infuser.
    – Add 1 heaped tablespoon (15gms) of chai latte powder per person to teapot/infuser.
    – Add 1/2 mug (Approx. 125ml) of hot/boiling water per person to the teapot/infuser.

2. Steep.
– Let this sit for 2 to 3 minutes at least. The longer the better.
– Stir occasionally.

3. Strain and let that cup of chai take you places!

How to Make The Perfect Chai Latte At Your Cafe (with milk)

Regular Size Cup – 8oz/280ml

  1. Add 2 tablespoons chai latte powder to an empty milk jug.
  2. Cover with 120ml boiling water and stir well.
  3. Steam with wand on low for 10-15 seconds.
  4. Allow chai to steep for 1-2 mins at least.
  5. Steam with wand on low for 10-15 seconds.
  6. Add 140ml milk of choice to milk jug with chai mixture.
  7. Steam together with wand till chai is combined with milk.
  8. Rest for at least 1 minute.
  9. Strain and serve with a light shake of crunchy ‘chai sprinkle’ to garnish.

    Notes: Best milk to use is full cream. For vegan options use Bonsoy or Almond milk (Milk lab)

Large Size Cup – 12oz/400ml

  1. Add 3 tablespoons chai latte powder to an empty milk jug.
  2. Cover with 180ml boiling water and stir well.
  3. Steam with wand on low for 10-15 seconds.
  4. Allow chai to steep for 1-2 mins at least.
  5. Steam with wand on low for 10-15 seconds.
  6. Add 200ml milk of choice to milk jug with chai mixture.
  7. Steam together with wand till chai is combined with milk.
  8. Rest for at least 1 minute.
  9. Strain and serve with a light shake of crunchy ‘chai sprinkle’ to garnish.

Steep and Strain Method At Your Cafe (without milk)

1. Add 1 mug of water per person to a milk jug (approx. 250ml).
2. Add 1 heaped tablespoon (15gms) of chai tea (latte powder) per person to the milk jug.
3. Steam with a low wand for 20 to 30 seconds.
4. Let it sit for about a minute before serving
5. Strain and serve with a light shake of crunchy ‘chai sprinkle’ to garnish.
