Finding activities That Bring You Joy.
In times of chaos or disharmony, it’s important to return to activities that will bring joy and happiness into your life.
It’s so easy to focus on all the negative things surrounding us but within the darkness, the light will always shine. If you’re taking more time away from people, spending more time at home, involuntarily or voluntarily, you have the opportunity to turn it into a beautiful and enjoyable experience!
Firstly, we think it’s a great exercise to grab a pen and paper and write down at least five things you know will bring you joy! Don’t overthink this process. Simply just list things that make you happy when you’re doing them and afterwards!
For inspiration, we’ve created our own list to share with you to create ideas for how you can spend your time wisely.
Downtime and time spent alone + at home is so important and most of us don’t get an opportunity to do it enough! So perhaps take this moment as a blessing and make the most of it!
Okay, here we go!

This one is a goodie! It’s common knowledge that journaling is an incredible activity to do daily, but in our everyday busy lives, it can become difficult to find/prioritise the time.
Journaling is known to help relieve stress and anxiety – which is perfect for times of uncertainty and worry. Keeping a journal can reduce stress by helping one get rid of negative thoughts.
Journaling may also provide the following benefits:
– Keep your thoughts organised. Diaries help us to organize our thoughts and make them apprehensible
– Improve your writing. Journaling helps you to train your writing
– Set & achieve your goals
– Record ideas on-the-go
– Relieve stress
– Allow yourself to self-reflect
– Boost your memory
– Inspire creativity
Journaling doesn’t have to be a boring or tedious task! Grab yourself a beautiful journal that you’ll actually love whipping out and writing in from Nurcha. We always have new journals constantly filling our shelves! Come down and treat yourself today.
There is joy in getting creative! There’s never been a better time to tap into your creative side. Whether that’s painting, drawing, writing, singing, dancing – whatever your outlet may be!
Getting creative is an incredible way to express emotions and feelings as well as tapping into imagination.
Being creative gives us opportunities to try out new ideas, and new ways of thinking and problem-solving.
Creative activities help us acknowledge and celebrate our own uniqueness and diversity.
Creativity encourages self-expression, mindfulness, a way to create something from personal feelings and experiences. Why not give it a go, if it’s not normally your thing, that’s even more reason to give it a try!
Extra time at home? Perfect! Now you have more to become a Masterchef in the kitchen or perfect that recipe you’ve been wanting to nail! Or maybe you want to experiment with different recipes.
Not only will this be a fun (and delicious) activity, it will allow you to get out of your head and get creative!
