Crystals – Hippy Rubbish or Misunderstood Rocks?

Hippy rubbish or misunderstood rocks?

I was raised by a fairly alternative minded mother. When I was a young lad, we did everything from sunrise meditations to sticking alfoil on our heads and repeating positive affirmations (you need to know this was 35 years ago, so somehow, it made sense!) and of course crystals were scattered around the house with the promise of helping with life-ing…

I guess I didn’t truly understand what they were about for many many years. I thought they looked cool and brought a lot of beauty into the home. What they “did” was beyond me for a long long time… and I still don’t profess to be correct in my opinion either, but here’s what I came to with my experience with crystals…

Crystals

As we all know, the Earth / physical world is made up of 5 key elements. Earth, air, fire, water and space (or energy/spirit etc)

One thing on my “life-ing” journey I came to really understand is that EVERYTHING I can touch and experience in this life is made of these same key ingredients. Including us, as humans, there are no exceptions. NONE.

Vibration

So it stands to reason that if some things can have a measured vibration, then everything in nature must exude a vibration – Or give off a feeling – has a life force – can be felt on some level, dense or subtle. Seeing as we, as humans, are a complex conglomeration of these elements we have to be constantly interacting with everything at some level or another. Felt or unfelt, seen or unseen.

So when we bring different “vibrations” into our personal space, they affect our personal vibration in some way. This, of course, can be a good or bad thing.

Example – When we bring elements of the plant kingdom into our space (ie. herbal medicine or even a beautiful bunch of flowers) we can feel a positive effect (hopefully). Conversely, we can be poisoned by certain aspects of the plant family.

I see the mineral world in the exact same way as this. We can bring the vibration of certain minerals into our world and feel the uplifting benefits. Much like the most popular crystals like Rose Quartz for the feeling of unconditional love or Amethyst for the vibration of personal growth and peace.
And again, there are plenty of minerals that are harmful to the human experience. Uranium for a simple example.

So crystals… Hippy rubbish or misunderstood rocks?

The only way to answer that is to bring one into your space and have your very own experience.

Much love,

Matt xx
